秋风送爽、硕果飘香。9月2日，南京外国语学校方山分校全体师生们欢聚一堂，举行了隆重的开学典礼，共同翻开学校新学期崭新的一页。朱善萍校长、周世东书记、宋长杰副校长、李小福副校长、Martin副校长、陈礼斌副校长、Daniel副校长出席了活动，校务管理中心主任石城老师主持。
The autumn wind is cool and the fruits are fragrant. On September 2nd, all the teachers and students of NFLSFC gathered together and held a grand opening ceremony to open a new page of the new semester of the school. 开学典礼在庄严的升旗仪式中拉开序幕。升旗仪式后，朱善萍校长发表了重要讲话，她向新一届全体师生阐释了我校的培养目标——培养具有中国灵魂，世界胸怀的现代英才。“中国灵魂”就是要求学生学习优秀传统文化，接受爱国主义教育；而“世界胸怀”则是要通过学校一系列独特的校本课程，将学生培养成“世界公民”“现代英才”，最终让他们成长为具有科学素养、人文素养和外语素养并饱有爱心与信仰、美德与思想的现代人。
The opening ceremony kicked off in the solemn flag-raising ceremony. After the flag-raising ceremony, principal Zhu Shanping delivered an important speech. She explained to the new teachers and students the training goal of our school - to educate our students to be modern talents with Chinese soul and global vision. The “Chinese soul” requires students to learn excellent traditional culture and accept patriotism education; the “global vision” means educating students into “world citizens” and “modern talents” with a series of unique school-based courses and finally cultivate them into modern people with scientific literacy, humanistic literacy and foreign language literacy and full of love and faith, virtue and thought.
接着，朱校长指出我校学生要实现“心智发展五维并重”。“五维”就是实现学生注意力、记忆力、观察力、思维力和创造力的发展。朱校长还表示，南外方山分校的重要理念就是尊重学生个性，挖掘学生发展潜能，这包括发掘学生的语言、空间想象、逻辑思维、音乐等各方面才能；除此之外，还要培养学生具有面向全球，学会生存的能力，在智能发掘的基础上培养学生的生存技能、合作智能、做事本领、沟通能力、跨文化交际能力、全球胜任力等。朱校长强调，广大学子要具有大家风范和领袖气质，这体现在仪态、服装、礼仪、声音、手势等方方面面，大家要做绅士和淑女，具有阳光活泼、挺拔稳健的社会精英气质。此外，朱校长还结合初一、高一学生开学前的军训实践，要求同学们严格约束自己，做到准确清晰、细心审慎、踏实稳健、自信能干。

On the basis of intelligent exploration, students should develop their survival skills, cooperation intelligence, work skills, communication skills, intercultural communication skills and global competence. Principal Zhu Shanping emphasized that the students should have the style and charisma, which is reflected in the manners, costumes, etiquette, voice, gestures, etc., and everyone needs to be a gentleman and a lady, with a lively, steady and social elite. In addition, principal Zhu Shanping also asked the students, who experienced the military training practice, to be strict with themselves and to be accurate, clear, careful, pragmatic and confident.
讲话中，朱校长还清晰地为学生们构建了未来学习的蓝图，就是在夯实各科学习的基础上，参加演讲、辩论等多项活动，全面提高能力，厚积薄发。她指出，同学们需要学习的还有很多，第一便是要积累背诵。这既包括中英文名篇的背诵，又包括了数学题、经典概念和公式的积累。第二，就是要求学生能够融贯中西，融汇古今，文理并绪，熟知世界和中国的政治、历史、地理、经济知识，对中国及世界名著都有涉猎，思考热门话题，关注中国与国际新闻。

The second one is that students are required to be able to integrate Chinese and western cultures, integrate ancient and modern times, and understand the politics, history, geography, and economic knowledge of the world and China and also they should think about the heated topics, and pay attention to China and international news.
“千里之行，始于足下，夯实基础，固本则胜。”最后，朱校长对同学们给予了殷切希望，她希望大家能够挑战自我，从容淡定地挑战自我思维和能力的极限。

随后，小学一年级耿苏阳老师代表全体教职员工作了发言。耿老师在发言中勉励南外方山分校的学子勤奋学习，始终以“求实、奋进、博学、谦逊”要求自己。同时，老师们会以敬业务实的工作精神开拓进取，用丰富多彩的教学激发学生的学习兴趣，追求高效课堂，加强家校沟通，成为孩子们的好伙伴、好老师、好朋友！

开学典礼上还有三位学生代表作了发言。二年级的朱映荷同学，她对所有刚加入南外方山分校的同学表示欢迎并对老师们一年来的谆谆教导表示感谢。同时，她呼吁同学们端正学习态度，树立远大理想，以全新的精神状态迎接新学期。八年级的潘森韬同学表达了自己对新学期继续努力前行的坚定信心和对同学们的祝愿与鼓励。最后，高一年级的秦秋雨同学在发言中回顾了军训生活，他承诺在新的学期将继续发扬军训精神，为南外方山分校书写新的传奇。

值得一提的是，开学典礼上学校还对在过去一学期中表现优异的学生进行了表彰，授予“美德少年”和“七星学子”称号，并对在GCCT青少年高尔夫技能等级赛中获得卓越成绩的学生进行表彰。教师代表耿苏阳老师和学生代表蒋子安还分别展示了才艺，赢得现场老师和学生的热烈掌声。
