近日，江宁区第二届中小学生小器乐大赛在文靖东路小学报告厅举行。由南京外国语学校方山分校35名同学组成的竖笛、口风琴乐团表现优异，从参赛的众多乐团中脱颖而出，最终荣获一等奖。
Recently, the second primary and middle school music competition was held in the lecture hall of WenjingDonglu Primary School in Jiangning. NFLSFC’s entry, which took first prize, was a recorder and melodica orchestra comprising of thirty five students. They gave an excellent performance and stood out from the other entries.
瞧！台上的小乐手们身着艳丽的服装，个个精神饱满、意气风发，他们手持闪亮的口琴和竖笛，娴熟地演奏了一曲具有维吾尔族风格的《青春舞曲》，得到了现场评委和观众们的一致好评。
The young musicians, dressed in colorful Uyghur ethnic dress, gave an energetic and lively performance of Youth Dance. Their performance was highly praised by both the judges and the audience.
从接到任务开始，我校音乐组老师就积极筹备，从乐曲的选定、队员的选拔、声部的分配、服装的选购都进行了认真准备。在短短一个月的排练过程中，乐团的同学们对作品精雕细琢，每一处编配、每一处强弱、每一处气息都严格要求，做到精益求精。虽然组团时间短、训练时间紧，但是同学们热情高涨、认真刻苦，最终圆满完成比赛任务，取得了一等奖的优异成绩。
Our school’s music teachers were active in preparing for the event, taking the time to carefully choose which piece to perform. Teachers were also rigorous in selecting students for the orchestra and voice parts, alongside choosing costumes for the event. Students painstakingly prepared for the competition, attending rehearsals for one month prior to the event. In order to make sure their performance was flawless, each section of the orchestra carefully rehearsed every aspect of the piece. Whilst the students did not have a great deal of time to prepare, they were enthusiastic, earnest and assiduous during rehearsals. Their efforts paid off, with the orchestra taking first prize.

Music conveys art, happiness and positive energy. A variety of music elective courses are offered; the school also organizes clubs and music festivals to develop students’ artistic interest, promote students’ artistic skills, and enhance the all-round development of students.
