岁月不居，时节如流，转眼间学期已过半。为了理性分析、总结上阶段教育教学工作，为下一阶段的奋进之路指明方向，近日，我校在千人剧场召开2019—2020学年度第一学期期中总结大会。朱善萍校长、周世东书记、宋长杰副校长、李小福副校长、Martin副校长、陈礼斌副校长、Daniel副校长以及全校教职员工出席了会议。朱善萍校长做了主题为“敬畏课堂，呵护儿童，让孩子们诗意地栖居”的期中总结报告。会议由校务管理中心主任石城老师主持。
With the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year being almost over, a meeting to summarize our school’s progress in education and teaching, and to point the way for the future was held in the lecture hall. Principal Zhu Shanping, Secretary Zhou Shidong, Vice Principal Song Changjie, Vice Principal Li Xiaofu, Vice Principal Martin, Vice Principal Chen Libin, Vice Principal Daniel, alongside all teaching staff attended the meeting. Principal Zhu Shanping gave a mid-term summary report entitled Take Each and Every Lesson Seriously, Cherish Each and Every Student, Let Each and Every Child Flourish”. The event was hosted by Mr. Shi, the director of the School Management Center.

To begin the report, Principal Zhu Shanping showed the audience a variety of images to show the work done by and atmosphere of all parts of our school.
随后，朱善萍校长分别从方山温馨小屋构建、学校宏观工作、微观教育教学工作、教育教学保障工作、反思与下阶段工作这几个方面带领全校教职员工深情回顾了2019—2020学年度第一学期开学至今的点点滴滴，全校教职员工在构筑阳光、温馨、和谐、进步、美丽方山小屋中的努力付出，都被一一展示出来。
Then, Principal Zhu Shanping presented work undertaken by faculty and staff since the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year from several aspects: the construction of Fangshan Cabin, the macroscopic school work, the microscopic teaching, the supportive work of education and teaching, the reflection and the next plans. Her presentation showed how all staff members have made painstaking efforts to create a positive, supportive, smooth-running and forward-thinking environment at our school.
前途是光明的，道路是曲折的，任务是繁重的。最后，朱善萍校长寄语全体教职员工，她希望大家敬畏课堂，呵护儿童，点燃心中对于儿童、课堂、方山的爱之烛光；迸发激情，提升张力，积淀涵养，创新创造；有经验者，揉碎原有的自己，融入新的世界；新入职者，虚心学习，充满自信，勇往直前；面对问题，认真思考，整体设计，各个击破；心怀方山，胸有大局，乐观阳光，精诚合作，为南外方山分校的办学发展绘就美丽画卷。
A bright future lies ahead, however, in order to get there, we must continue working hard. To conclude her presentation, Principal Zhu Shanping stressed that all teachers should be serious and passionate about every single lesson and cherish their students. Our school’s teachers must continue being enthusiastic, adaptable, innovative and creative, improving themselves as teachers. Experienced teachers should use their expertise to help others, yet be sure to be adaptable in a modern educational setting. Less experienced teachers should learn from others with an open mind, be confident, and have the courage to persevere. Teachers should takes challenges in their stride, and when faced with issues, should focus on how to solve them, rather than be held back. Our teachers should keep the “bigger picture” in mind, being optimistic and working together for the overall development of NFLSFC.
总结过去，收获成功，满怀喜悦；展望明天，不忘初心，坚定信心。期中总结会议是新征程的起点，是新阶段工作中的加油站。相信南外方山分校的教职员工们定会同心同德、群策群力，明确方向、全力以赴，在下一阶段取得更好的成绩，继续演绎属于南外方山分校的精彩，让孩子们诗意地栖居。
The mid-term summary meeting showed how much we have achieved since the beginning of the semester. When moving forwards, we must also be sure to remain confident and stay true to our original intentions. The meeting marks the beginning of the new journey, and is a key “checkpoint” for future work. It is believed that faculty and staff members of NFLSFC will work together, understand the school’s objectives, and spare no effort in moving forward, to continue working hard and letting our students flourish.
