为了更好地做好防疫背景下的德育工作,指导教师用好“战疫”活教材,上好人生体验课,培养和提升学生的核心素养,5月13日,南京外国语学校方山分校在千人剧场召开全体教师大会,周世东书记做了题为“面对疫情危机,教育应该做什么?”的主旨演讲。
On May 13th, NFLSFC held a meeting to improve moral education, guide teachers on how to properly use epidemic prevention materials in their instruction, and to develop students' core competencies. As part of the meeting, Secretary Zhou Shidong gave a speech entitled “How should educators respond to the COVID-19 crisis?”
演讲伊始,周书记用“何为好教育?”这一话题引起全体教师对新形势下教育教学工作的深入思考。他指出,好教育应具有现场感、超越性和正确价值观的映射这三个特征。周书记强调,生活即教育,社会即学校。要加强理想信念教育,人的觉醒诞生于非常时刻,疫情期间,无数“逆行者”的动人故事告诉我们,只要力所能及地为别人、为社会、为国家做出奉献,每一个普通劳动者也能成为顶天立地的英雄。理想信念不是高高在上,它就在我们身边,可感、可知、可亲。全体教师要用好“战疫”活教材,将爱党、爱国、爱人民等理想信念教育有机渗透到学校教育教学的各个方面。要开展公民担当教育,这是培养现代英才的必修课,一方面要努力帮助学生树立正确的权利观和义务观,让学生认识到自我的每一项权利的实现都是需要他人义务的成全。另一方面要更切实地提升学生参与公共事务、承担公共责任的能力,使学生在充盈自我心灵世界的同时,又能主动关照他人和社会,把学生培养成一个人格挺立的大写的人。要注重生命教育,教师们在价值层面要帮助学生树立“生命高于一切”的生命价值观,教育引导学生尊重生命、感恩生命、珍惜自己、关爱他人;在道德层面要帮助学生树立起以关爱生命为核心的生命道德观,建立和谐、有序的人与自然、社会和其他个体的关系;在态度层面要帮助学生树立乐观积极向上的生命态度,引导学生相信生命的信念;在能力层面要培养学生具备和适应时代与未来要求的生存力。
Secretary Zhou began his speech by asking: “What is good education?”. Under the current circumstances, this is a particularly important question that all our teachers must consider. Good education should be both firmly rooted in the present and forward-looking, whilst also ensuring students are instilled with the correct moral values. Seeing as one's education is one's life, and one's society is one's school, it is crucial that teachers put their full trust in the power of education. At any moment, the goodness in human nature can become apparent. The countless touching stories of “COVID-19 fighters” have told us that as long as we can help other people, our society and our country, even the ordinary can become the extraordinary. Thus, teachers should help to strengthen students' moral compasses, so they are able to make the right decisions in the face of adversity. Ideal moral values are by no means out of reach - rather, they very much tangible. All teachers should use the experiences of “COVID-19 fighters” to help instil a sense of national pride in their students. Beyond this, teachers should educate students to be responsible citizens, so that they can grow become productive members of society. Teachers should help students to realize that they have both rights and obligations; their rights are dependent on other fulfilling their obligations. Teachers must also encourage students to increase their engagement in public affairs, and fulfil their responsibilities in order to become upstanding citizens. By doing this, students may learn to treat others with kindness and respect, and feel fulfilled by their acts of kindness. Teachers should also focus on integrating Personal, Social and Health Education into their subjects, helping students develop a positive outlook on life. Life takes precedence above all else - teachers must teach students to respect and be grateful for life, and to take good care of themselves and others. Teachers should also help equip students with the skills necessary for them to succeed in the modern world.
最后,周书记指出,疫情告诉我们,今天,教育的最大挑战不是如何增长知识,而是如何去应对未来的不确定性。因此全体教师要有勇气,不是确保孩子永远远离问题和风险,而是要教会他们如何面对危机、怎样解决问题。
To conclude his speech, Secretary Zhou noted that the biggest challenge educators currently face is not how to increase their students' knowledge, but how to deal with an uncertain future. Teachers must persevere in helping their students not to simply avoid all potential challenges and risks, but rather how to tackle these head-on.
本次会议明确了防疫背景下做好德育工作的目标和任务,为老师们理清了工作思路,为培养和提升学生的核心素养奠定了坚实的基础。
The meeting clarified a working plan for teachers to continue and strengthen their moral education work during the epidemic prevention period, which will help to lay a solid foundation on which to develop students' core competencies.
