5月20日，南京外国语学校方山分校全体教职员工齐聚千人剧场，南京外国语学校邹正校长受邀作了题为《浅谈数千（百）年未有之大变局》的主旨演讲，与全体教职员工分享了他阅读《龙兴——五千年的长征》的感受与思考。
On May 20th, NFLSFC staff gathered in the school’s lecture hall to listen to a speech given by the Principal of NFLS, Zou Zeng. His speech, entitled “A Brief Talk on China's Vast Historical Changes: Ancient and Modern Times”, detailed his thoughts on the book "China's Five Thousand Years of Staunch and Continued Progress”.
邹正校长的演讲分为“数千年未有之大变局”和“百年未有之大变局”两个篇章，分别从黄土高原、贵族制、封建制、郡县制、河西走廊、王道与富强等几个角度阐述了中国历史上治理体系的变迁；以柳宗元《封建论》、王安石《上仁宗皇帝言事书》、陆九渊《陆九渊集》、王阳明《传习录》等经典著作为线索论述了封建时代的国家治理制度变迁；围绕社会主义工业化、改革开放、可持续发展等近现代历史中的重要事件，揭示了中国共产党对于国家治理体系和治理能力的不断探索、反思和完善。邹正校长为大家勾勒出了中华民族五千年的“长征史”，希望全体教职员工从历史中找寻智慧，不忘初心，砥砺前行，为全球治理人才的培养贡献出自己的力量。
The speech covered two main points: changes occurring in ancient history and in modern times. Principal Zou began by detailing changes seen in China's systems of governance, introducing the Loess Plateau, aristocracy, feudalism, the county system, the Hexi Corridor, kingcraft and prosperity. Then, using classical works such as Liu Zongyuan's Feudal Theory, Wang Anshi's The Remonstrations to Emperor Renzong, Lu Jiuyuan's Lu Jiuyuan Collection and Wang Yangming's Chuan Xi Lu, he discussed changes in state governance during the feudal era. His speech also detailed important periods and events from modern Chinese history such as socialist industrialization, the reform and opening up period and mostly recently, the sustainable development era. These events reflect how the CPC has continuously explored, reflected on and improved the country's governance systems and capabilities. Principal Zou described how China's history shows parallels with The Long March. He hoped that all faculty and staff members can learn from the past. By doing this, we can move forward whilst remaining true to our original intentions, and use our strengths to educate future generations to become modern talents.
在演讲过程中，邹正校长旁征博引、融贯中西，不仅有历史的回望与反思，更有理论结合实践的探讨，使全体教职员工深受启发，受益颇丰。“长征”永远在路上。南京外国语学校方山分校全体教职员工将满怀信心，携手同行，全力以赴用奋斗继续书写更加辉煌的明天。
During the speech, Principal Zou Zheng referenced a wide range of opinions to share his reflections on history and his experiences on integrating theory with practice. His speech was both inspiring and educational. We are always on our own Long March – we believe all our staff will be confident, work together, and spare no effort in moving forward to continue creating an even brighter future for our school.
