The round lake is sparkling and the campus is poetic. Recently, NFLSFC has welcomed 5 cute black swan babies. They are graceful, cute, leisurely wandering, floating on the round lake, becoming another scenery.

Our school is more beautiful with the students studying here. 6月3日，南京外国语学校方山分校全体教职员工齐聚千人剧场，南京外国语学校方山分校朱善萍校长作了题为《脑与学习》的主旨演讲，与全体教职员工分享了儿童大脑生长发展机制与学习的关系。
On June 3rd, NFLSFC staff gathered in the school's lecture hall to listen to a speech given by Principal Zhu Shanping. Her speech, entitled "The Brain And Learning", detailed her thoughts on the relationship between children's neural development and learning.
朱善萍校长在演讲中从大脑的基础知识和进化发展的角度出发，围绕神经细胞结构、脑的能量供给、儿童神经元发展、儿童的词汇与概念、儿童的数学与逻辑、音乐的妙用、心智的品质特征和心智的深层次内涵等方面，阐述了儿童大脑生长发展机制与学习的关系。老师们应该掌握儿童大脑发展的基本规律，在教育教学的过程中更加注重大脑的生长发展机制，对不同的学生因材施教、寓教于乐，学会吸引孩子们的注意力，激发孩子们学习的兴趣，实现诗意地栖居、润物细无声的教育。朱善萍校长提出，教育是一个系统工程，需要我们做好每一个环节，希望在党和国家德智体美劳全面发展的教育方针指引下，通过科学的、符合儿童身心发展规律的悉心教育和呵护，通过实施有灵性的生命教育，通过与历史长河中思想家哲学家的对话，通过构建美丽的教育空间，让孩子们诗意地栖居。这应该成为南外方山分校全体师生员工的共同追求与共同愿景。
Her speech began by introducing some basic concepts about the brain and evolutionary development. She focused on the structure of nerve cells, the brain's energy supply and how a child's neurons develop. Her speech also covered how a child learns vocabulary and understands concepts, mathematics and logic. She noted that music and thinking more deeply can assist in children's brain development and learning. Teachers should hold at least a basic knowledge of children's neural development, and ensure they apply this in their teaching. To help our students reach their full potential, lessons should be enjoyable and engaging, stimulating students' interest in learning, whilst also allowing each and every student to work to their strengths. Principal Shanping Zhu pointed out, education is a systematic engineering project, which requires us to do every detail carefully. She hopes sincerely that we must try our best to enable our children to live and study poetically on the school campus of Fangshan, through scientific instructing, caring, which must be done according to children's physiological and psychological development features as well as in accordance with the Party's and the State's requirements of all-rounded education. To achieve this goal, we must pay enough attention to life, enable children to "talk" more with great thinkers in the long river of history and we must create more beautiful educational spaces. To enable children to live and study poetically should be the common vision and target of all the teachers, students and staff of NFLSFC.
在演讲过程中，朱善萍校长引经据典、融贯中西，不仅有关于脑科学的理论分享，更结合教育教学中的实践进行了分析，使全体教职员工深受启发，受益匪浅。希望通过此次主旨演讲，激发全体教职员工对学习儿童大脑生长发展机制的兴趣，推动脑科学在实践中的运用，进一步促进学校教育教学质量的提升。
Principal Zhu Shanping drew from a wide range of academic sources and her own experiences to bring more light to the subject, integrating theory with practice. Her speech was both inspiring and educational. She hoped all staff members will be motivated to study children's neural development and apply what they have learned in their teaching. By doing this, teachers can further improve educational outcomes and teaching practices.
