7月1日，2020年度第二十一届“希望之星”暨希语盛典江苏省半决赛成绩公布，南外方山分校小学学段共有50人晋级，其中一年级晋级16人，二年级晋级34人，总晋级人数占全省十分之一，江苏省内名列前茅！
On July 1st, it was announced that 50 NFLSFC Primary School students had advanced to the finals of the 2020 Star of Outlook English Talent Competition. Students from our school (16 Grade 1 students; 34 Grade 2 students) accounted for 10 percent of all Jiangsu's entrants.
在此前的南京市决赛当中，我校小学学段317人获奖，一年级126人获奖，二年级191人获奖。其中，获特等奖134人，占比42.2%；获一等奖21人、二等奖39人、三等奖42人、星光奖38人、希望奖43人，获奖人数在全市名列前茅。
In total, 317 of our primary students participated in the city-wide finals; 126 Grade 1 students and 191 Grade 2 students won prizes. 134, or 42.2 percent of all our students, received a special prize; 21 received a first-class prize; 39 received a second-class prize; 42 received a third-class prize; 38 received a star award; and 43 received a hope award.
今年比赛受疫情影响，“希望之星”大赛改为线上举办。前期初选在正式开学前就已拉开帷幕，这给小学英语组教师的辅导和学生平台展示都带来了新的挑战，但很快我校老师、学生和家长都适应了新的比赛形式，一路过关斩将，并取得优异成绩。
The competition was held online this year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The preliminary rounds took place during the extended period of distance-learning, which proved a challenge at times. However, both students and teachers were able to overcome any difficulties and adapt to the situation, going on to do well in the competition.
接下来省级半决赛晋级的五十名同学将参与全省决赛，通过者将有机会进军全国比赛，与全国最优秀的参赛者同台切磋，期待他们在接下来赛事中取得更加优异的成绩！
These 50 students will go on to compete in the province-wide finals. If they progress to the next round, they will go on to compete with outstanding students from all over the world. We look forward to seeing them succeed!
