科技是创新的课堂，更是梦想的舞台。11月2日，南京外国语学校方山分校的全体师生欢聚一堂，迎来了学校第三届科技节隆重开幕，共同开启这场科技盛会。
Technology helps students to build their creativity and realize their dreams. On November 2nd, NFLSFC teachers and students gathered to hold the opening ceremony for the third Science and Technology Festival.
宋长杰副校长为本次科技节开幕致辞，他指出，从人类的发展历史进程来看，人类造就了科技的发展，科技也促成了人类的进步。特别是在面对此次全球新冠肺炎疫情持续反复的严峻形势下，中国在世界面前展示出了强大的科技实力。宋长杰副校长强调，科技并不是束之高阁，仅供欣赏的炫酷玩物，而是正在不断改变我们生活，开启现代智慧生活的钥匙；是推动一个国家、一个民族向前发展的重要力量；更是实现中华民族伟大复兴的关键因素！少年智则国智，少年富则国富。大国崛起不在他人，全在我中华少年，与我们每一位同学息息相关。最后，宋长杰副校长希望同学们承载祖国崛起的希望，擎起振兴中华的接力棒，在科技节的舞台上尽情地展现自己的风采！
Vice Principal Song Changjie delivered an opening speech for the Science and Technology Festival. He pointed out that human beings have contributed to the development of science and technology and vice versa. China has showed great scientific and technological achievements especially in fighting against COVID-19. He emphasized that science and technology is not a plaything to be put on the shelf and only for appreciation, but is constantly changing our lives and the key to modern intelligent life; it is an important force to promote the development of a country and a nation; it is also the key to China's rejuvenation. The wiser the youth are, the wiser the nation will be; the wealthier the youth are, the wealthier the nation will be. The youth could do more for China's development. He hopes that the students can contribute themselves to China's rejuvenation, and show their talents during the Science and Technology Festival.
三（3）班的朱璨同学为小学学段的师生们带来了《科技兴国，争做新时代好少年》的演讲。
Zhu Can from Grade 3 Class 3 gave a speech on "Science and Technology Rejuvenate the Country, Strive to Be a Good Teenager in the New Era" to the attendees.
三（3）班的于子文、房胤泽和杨靖琪同学还给小学学段的师生们表演了打快板《争做新时代好队员》，号召同学们要勤奋学习，追求上进，团结友爱，品德兼优，争做中国灵魂世界胸怀的现代英才。
Yu Ziwen, Fang Yinze and Yang Jingqi from Grade 3 Class 3 performed allegro "Striving to Be A Good Young Pioneer in the New Era", calling on the students to study hard, set sights high, work together as a team and be excellent to become modern talents with Chinese soul and global vision.
来自八年级（5）班的肖雁文、吴子胥、张雁杰和鲁子昕同学与全体中学学段的师生们分享了有关科学垃圾分类的知识，号召大家养成垃圾分类的好习惯。
Xiao Yanwen, Wu Zixu, Zhang Yanjie and Lu Zixin from Grade 8 Class 5 shared their knowledge about scientific waste classification with all the teachers and students, and called on everyone to develop a good habit of waste classification.
科技与生活碰撞在一起会产生怎样的火花？开幕式上，科技高中高一（2）班孔歆研、科技高中高一（4）班夏添和国际高中高二中美班朱星瀚同学展示了他们设计的智能垃圾分类系统、无人机穿越障碍等创意科技作品，赢得了全场的热烈掌声。
What kind of sparks will be produced when technology and life collide? At the opening ceremony, Kong Xinyan from Grade 10 Class 2, Xia Tian from Grade 10 Class 4, and Zhu Xinghan from International High School Grade 11 showed their creative ideas such as intelligent waste sorting system and drone crossing obstacles, which received much applause from the audience.
科技节是创新的课堂和舞台，其实科技就在我们身边，它不一定是伟大的发明创造，也不一定是耀眼的科学成果。它萌芽于每一个小小的发现，成长在无数次的探索中。希望同学们扬起科学的风帆，展开创新的翅膀，共享科技的魅力，以饱满的热情参与到此次科技节的活动中，让科技之花在方山校园尽情绽放。
The Science and Technology Festival helps students display their ability to be creative. In fact, science and technology are by no means out of reach. It does not necessarily have to be a great invention or a dazzling scientific achievement. It sprouted from every small discovery and developed in countless explorations. It's hoped that the festival will inspire our students to engage with science and technology so that science and technology can flourish at NFLSFC.
