11月2日下午，南京外国语学校方山分校全体九年级师生齐聚一堂，聆听朱善萍校长和老师们关于学科学习方法和路径的指导。朱善萍校长做了题为《初三学习十二法》的讲座。李小福副校长参会，会议由九年级组长陈俊老师主持。
On the afternoon of November 2nd, NFLSFC Grade 9 teachers and students gathered to attend a lecture given by Principal Zhu Shanping and Grade 9 teachers. Principal Zhu Shanping delivered a speech entitled "Twelve Learning Methods During Grade Nine. Vice Principal Li Xiaofu attended the meeting, which was presided over by Chen Jun, the leader of Grade 9.
朱善萍校长首先提到，“有志者，事竟成”。鼓励全体九年级学生树立远大目标，并为之不懈努力。朱善萍校长指出，她从教多年，遇到过许多优秀的学子，他们身上都有一个共性——拥有“上天揽月，下海捞针”的霸气、勇气与自信：无论是那份全篇背诵《I have a dream》的执着，还是凌晨寻找数学解题的n种思路的韧劲……都令人钦敬。沉浸于学习的快乐，非勤勉者不能体会，毕竟“无限风光在险峰”。
Principal Zhu Shanping began her speech with the famous saying- "Where there is a will, there is a way." She encouraged Grade 9 students to set their sights high and work hard. Principal Zhu Shanping pointed out that she has been teaching for many years and has known many outstanding students, who have something in common- the ambition, courage and self-confidence. Those admirable students are persistent and tenacious- they will insist on reciting I Have a Dream or seek for how to solve a math problem in the morning. She said the joy of being engaged in learning cannot be experienced by non-industrious students- more scenery is in the dangerous peak.
朱善萍校长认为，高效学习讲求方法，只有做到对于时间系统化统筹，学习内容系统化掌握，细心、高效、愉快、科学地学习，才能“知己知彼，百战不殆”。朱善萍校长特别强调，生物有节律，学习有规律，保证睡眠时间，把握思维与记忆的特性，依时而学，方可事半功倍。朱善萍校长的讲座内容丰富科学，实用性和可操作性强，给全体九年级师生留下了深刻印象。
Principal Zhu Shanping believes that students should learn to allocate time, be proficient in all subjects and study carefully, efficiently, happily and scientifically. Only by doing this can they be successful. She emphasized that students should have enough sleep time, grasp the characteristics of thinking and memory, then twice as much can be accomplished with half the effort. The attendees were deeply impressed by Principal Zhu's useful, practical and maneuverable learning methods.
接下来，化学组施捷老师和历史组赵双阳老师就相关学科的学习方法进行了指导。施捷老师说，化学是九年级新接触的学科，有的学生一开始可能会找不准方法、摸不清门道，同学们可以按照化学组老师们精心编写的学案寻找思路，明确方向。赵双阳老师重点分享了九年级历史学科学习的技巧和方法，强调了广泛阅读历史，特别是历史教科书的重要性。
After that, Shi Jie, a chemistry teacher and Zhao Shuangyang, a history teacher gave guidance on learning methods. Ms. Shi said that some students don't know how to learn chemistry because it's a new subject for them. As for this, students can be clear how to learn with the learning materials compiled by chemistry teachers. Ms. Zhao talked about the skills and methods of learning history, and emphasized the importance of extensively reading history, especially course books.
“授之以鱼，不如授之以渔。”希望南外方山分校九年级的同学们通过本次会议能够更加科学、有效、高品质地学习，在自我发展和攀登学术高峰的道路上不畏艰险、克服重重困难，实现自己的人生梦想，成为具有中国灵魂世界胸怀的现代英才。
Just as an old saying goes, "Give a man a fish and he ends for a day." It's hoped that NFLSFC Grade 9 students can study more scientifically, effectively, and with high quality, take the bull by the horns to realize their dreams and become modern talents with Chinese soul and global vision.
