My name is Madeleine, and I teach French to first grade students, as well as to a few second and third grade students, I am new to Nanjing Foreign Language School Fangshan Campus. I love the enthusiasm of our young learners, when they’re confronted to the challenges of a new language, I always do my best to enhance communication and fun during our classes!
I grew up in Burgundy, France, a region famous for its wine and gastronomy. After graduating from a top school in France and obtaining a Masters in Economics, I spent one year studying mandarin in Shanghai International University and started working in China in 2006. After that, I lived in different cities in China, and I also lived in Thailand for five years, with my family.
I have now been living in Nanjing with my French husband and three children for five years. During this time, I have specialized in teaching French as a foreign language in various renowned schools and institutions.
Before teaching in Nanjing Foreign Language School Fangshan Campus, I was a French lecturer in the Communication University of China, Nanjing. I taught classes on French literature, French culture and French civilization, and trained students to improve their written and oral skills to pass official exams (DELF, TEF4), before they went to study in France.
I have a passion for literature and stories, which I enjoy sharing with students of all ages and language levels. With younger learners, I make sure that I always focus my teaching on communication and exchanges, so that the children and I can start sharing anecdotes, facts, stories and songs after a few week’ learning only.
我是Madeleine，本学期加入了南京外国语学校方山分校的大家庭，目前我负责教授一、二、三年级的法语。面对法语这一全新的语言，小学生的学习热情丝毫没有减退，这也让我倍受感染，所以我总是尽我所能让课堂多一些互动、多一些乐趣！
我的故乡是以美酒和美食闻名于世的法国勃艮第地区，大学毕业于法国一所顶尖高校，之后又攻读了经济学硕士学位。此后我在上海国际学校学习了一年汉语，并于2006年开始在中国工作。在那之后，我在中国的不同城市生活过，我和家人也曾在泰国生活过五年。
目前我和丈夫以及三个孩子已经在南京生活了五年。在此期间，我曾在诸多名校和机构中教授过法语。
来南京外国语学校方山分校任教前，我是南京传媒学院的法语讲师，主要教授法国文学、法国文化和法国文明相关课程，致力于帮助学生提高口头和书面表达能力，辅导他们通过DELF和TEF4等官方法语考试，为他们后期前往法国留学做好充分准备。
我热爱文学，喜欢讲故事，乐于与各年龄段和不同语言水平的学生一起交流分享。对于年龄较小的学生，我的教学会更多地集中于沟通和交流层面，这样坚持学习几周下来，我们就可以互相分享种种趣闻轶事、聆听优美的乐曲。
