My name is Anthony. I’ve been teaching English now for the last 4 years. I’ve taught in Guatemala my whole teaching career up until now. I’m originally from London in the UK and finished my drama degree at University of West London. I’ve been teaching elementary for two years. I’m a keen athlete and sportsman always keeping active physically and get involved in local teams sports.
I come from a long family line of language teachers and knew teaching would be something I would eventually get into. My methods focus on interactions and make learning as fun as possible. Whether it be competitions, or using culture or old legends students know about and putting that into gaining knowledge in a foreign language.
I started teaching high school when I first got into teaching. After Covid-19, I was offered work to teach in primary school. Originally it was meant to be temporary as I had experience with only high school. After working with elementary, I decided it was more for me and looked to work with children of that age here in China.

我出生于教师世家，自幼便深知教育将是我最终的使命所在。我的教学方法强调互动性，会充分运用各种形式，如竞争机制、学生们感兴趣的文化和古老传说等，尽可能地让孩子们的学习过程变得生动有趣，帮助他们轻松获得外语知识。
我最初执教时教授的是高中生。新冠疫情爆发后，我得到了一份小学教师的工作。我本以为这只是份临时性的工作，毕竟我仅有教授高中生的经验。然而在我教了小学之后，我发现自己其实更适合小学学段，由此我下定决定前往中国。未来的日子里，我期望能这里的小学生们一起学习、共同进步。
